The above trunk depicts the grandfather in his Navy uniform in the front, and the family's annual Easter celebration in Florida, with the children searching for the Easter eggs in the sand... homes, and "garage movies"... references to trips and so many memories as their story continues around all sides of the wooden trunk.

the grandmother and her sister spent summers on Lake George and every summer they would paint the planks of their row boat different colors and add their boyfriend's names to them;
her future husband's name to the bow of the row boat!

To commission:
It is easy, call to reserve your studio time and deposit needed, my questionnaire will guide you along, gather photos and an interview. Family members all have their favorite stories, and many times I gather information from one and all,
then I create. The Memory Trunks take about 6 weeks to complete,
smaller items less time.
I do have gift certificates which is nice also, you present them with a big hand painted gift box, and then the recipient will have the fun working with the artist. Any year is the year to celebrate your family-this gift is truly for the whole family and the next generation!
As time goes by, I have a program to add additional life events babies, graduations, weddings... just let me know.
